THE ANCESTRY OF MOSES STEPHENS
The information on this web page (Stephens linage) doesn't pretend to be accurate or complete, mainly because of the very fluid nature of genealogical research.
Information sent to us by Stephens researchers has been posted in good faith, and has been checked, whenever time permits, for accuracy against records such as marriage, land deeds, tax, census & bible records, etc.
Please let us know about any inaccurate information on this web page, as the only way we can correct it is for someone to tell us. So please e-mail us if you have any further information on any of the families listed on this web page (Stephens lineage).
From the book: "A Lost Heritage for a Changing People" by Robert E. Stephens
Book available at the Mccreary county library, Mccreary county, Ky.
(the Stephens Lineage is from Robert's book; with genealogies added from Stephens/Stevens researchers)
Many of the later Stephens/Stevens records we have found, are in Perquimans, Chowan, Caswell, & Surrey counties, N.C. Some in Cravens, Edgefield, & Greene counties, S.C.
